EduTech MindSeed & Motion Academy was born out of a desire to answer an essential question: how can we cultivate human beings who are more aware, creative and committed to the common good?

Faced with a world marked by uncertainties, inequalities and rapid transformations, we understand that only an education that integrates heart, mind and action can generate real impact. We created EMMA to promote the integral development of the human being - bringing together education, technology, sustainability, art, sport, spirituality and care for others and the planet.

We are a place of welcome and transformation, where each person is seen as a seed of the future. Here, ideas become projects, dreams become paths and knowledge becomes purpose.

The president

Dr. Girlane Hickmann is a teacher, linguist, researcher and social entrepreneur. Born in Maranhão of humble origins and the daughter of a solo mother, she overcame social, emotional and territorial challenges to become a Doctor of Education at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), with a doctoral internship at Kent State University (KSU - USA), under the guidance of renowned professor Dr. Timothy Rasinski.

Based on the results of her doctoral research, she created the Fluency League, children's characters that have become the basis of innovative projects aimed at literacy and sustainability, with a direct impact on children's reading education and the appreciation of local and global culture.

Dr. Girlane served as Pedagogical Coordinator of the National Book and Teaching Material Program (PNLD) 2023, at the Ministry of Education (MEC), as well as working as an advisor and educational coordinator in public policies and private initiatives nationwide.

She played a central role in providing technical advice and drafting the basic text of the Goiás State Environmental Education Program (PEEA), including the pedagogical coordination of sustainability training courses for the Goiás State Interinstitutional Commission for Environmental Education (CIEA-GO).

She currently heads up Emma - EduTech MindSeed & Motion Academy, a non-profit civil society organization that brings together education, technology, sustainability, spirituality, arts and culture to promote integral human development and to promote the development of people.
